DREAM SPACES

Dream Spaces will present a special selection of film screenings and talks in response to the new exhibition of works by US artists Kevin and Jennifer McCoy. Inspired by the work of visionary Dutch architect work of Constant Nieuwenhuys, the McCoys work explores imaginary architecture and dystopian film-noir.  

 

Events at VIVID:

 

Thursday 21 June, 6pm, VIVID (free event, booking recommended)

Architect and theorist Nic Clear, will explore the notion of 'Synthetic Space', that links 'imaginary' and 'utopian' architectures. 

 

Saturday 23 June, 6.30pm-8pm (free event)

VIVID will host a live web discussion between author Sadie Plant and artist Kevin McCoy, live online from Brooklyn.

 

Thursday 21-23 June, daily, VIVID, 12pm-5.30pm (free event)

Sadie Plant and Kevin McCoy have made selections for a double bill of films to be held at The Electric Cinema, Station Street, Birmingham, B5 4DY.
